2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 epic science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. The screenplay was written by Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke.
Context
To create a compelling sequenced style frame that captured the essence of 2001: A Space Odyssey, without using its visual aesthetic.
With a concept of karam and cause and effect, the movies showcased the great inventions of humans but also with the collapse it caused. The main color red symbolizes danger and the eye of HAL 9000 with a cinematic approach to the overall finish.
The making
After experimenting with different material for the ball to create the crushing effect. The best result was to use an ice ball with flour to create a dramatic scenery. Here are some of my process pictures.
